Welcome to the North Cornwall Food Hub, the sustainable 'click and collect' online farmer's market exclusively for local food and the Best British Food Initiative at the BBC Food & Farming Awards, started 1st November 2014.
Every week you'll find great products direct from brilliant local farmers, growers, fishermen and producers, which you can buy at the click of a mouse. Vegetables, fruit, bread, milk, butter, cream, yogurt, cheese, meat, pate, fish, eggs, pasties, cakes, chocolate, honey, jam, sauces, apple juice, beer, wine and much more - you can find it all right here at the North Cornwall Food Hub.
All you have to do now is to look around and order what you fancy. There is no minimum order value and no obligation to purchase again.
Choose your items, pay by debit or credit card and we will deliver your shopping right up to your front door. Please remember to select the appropriate Home Delivery service. If you prefer, you can also collect your shopping from Cottage Farm Organics, Jacobstow EX23 0BU.
The Food Hub opens on Thursday each week and closes on Monday at noon.
Collect your order at any time from Thursday 3pm onwards or any time on the next couple of days. Home deliveries are between 3-8pm on Thursdays.
Currently, we have 20 producers registered, plus another 20+ local suppliers, over 40 in total, offering over 500 different products, almost all local mostly within about 20 miles of Bude, many organic, all fresh and supplied to you direct by the producers often at below supermarket prices. More producers are in the process of registering and will no doubt soon feature in the Food Hub. And all of them retain much more of the money that you pay for your food than via any other route to the market. It's a win-win system, good for our local farmers and producers and good for our members, as well as for the whole local economy.
The more customers are registered the more successful the whole scheme will be, so do please tell your friends, Follow the North Cornwall Food Hub on Facebook ( facebook.com/NorthCornwallFoodAssembly ) and 'like', share, retweet and publicize the scheme any way you can so that we can start to replace part of shopping at the exploitative supermarkets with buying direct from local producers in a very convenient way and keep the cash circulating in the local economy rather than having it disappear in big business profits and bonuses. I will also be happy to give a short presentation to any local group on how it all works and what the benefits are, just let me know.
There is no fee to pay and no commitment to buy. Buy as much or as little as you wish, but do buy something at least to test the system. That's the way to make a difference.
Thank you so much for your support
